Saturday, March 23 - Kara Gordon at The Iconic, 6:30PM

Kara is a quad city native, born and raised in Rock Island, where she spent well over 20 years playing in various regional bands. She now calls Galena illinois home. She relocated there in 2016 and was quickly embraced by the vibrant musical community. Her song, "Galena Nights" details the journey that brought her to her new home. It has done very well on all streaming sites, and the video on youtube captures the haunting beauty of the midwestern town. Her newest single entitled "Another One Falls" was recorded in Galena, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London. It is slated to be released in early 2024. It's a song that's been in her repertoire for a while. It was written about 8 years ago, with the original version played live by Backseat Betty- a band Kara was part of. She also has six new songs that will be coming out in 2024-2025. In addition to being one of the top shows in Galena, Kara has had the honor of playing showcases in Nashville, and is looking forward to doing that again in 2024 as well as other shows that will allow her to combine her loves of travel and playing live music.
